Kamasan Village

Kamasan Village is a center of Balinese traditional painting and sculpture which is located in Klungkung District, Klungkung. Kamasan is famous for its community of Balinese traditional painting artists. The originality, authenticity, and long time development resulting a separate style of Balinese paintings which is called Kamasan Style. Although the materials that are used to paint have undergone evolution, the theme of the painting is still the same, about wayang (Balinese puppet) characters. Actually, this village’s artists do not only good in painting, but also the other arts like gold and silver sculpting and the latest popular art, bullet sculpting.

Kerthagosa (Klungkung)

It was a court on Majapahit Century. It has a unique, superlative collections of Kamasan Style painting. Its open side pavilion is a superb example of  Klungkung architecture, and its ceiling is completely covered inside with fine paintings in the Klungkung style. Bale Kambang the ceiling of the beatiful “ Floating pavilion “ is painted in Klungkung style.

Initially, the paintings that decorate the ceiling are made of cloth and parba. New since 1930 is replaced and created at the top of the plasterboard direstorasi ago according to the original image is still intact and up to now. Cultural heritage as Kingdom Semarapura, Gosa and Kerta Bale Kambang enabled to judge the matter and the religious ceremony that is especially yadnya cut teeth (mepandes) like children king.

Sidemen

One of the greatest place in Bali that has strong spiritual aura is Sidemen Valley that located at Karangasem East Bali regency. Many temples of Hindu Bali, the majority religion of Balinese people, located in this village. This village located at the valley, surround of many hill and most of the area is a paddy fields that irrigate by Subak, the Balinese traditional water system for rice field. The housing area separated with the field area, the housing area located at the right side from the road, and the field area located at the left side, that make this village very unique. The area is famous for stunning scenery, and a simple, traditional way of life. Sidemen village has produced masters of Balinese literature and Hindu theology, as well as generations of skillful weavers.

Besakih Temple

A complex of temples in one very large compound located on the southern slopes of Sacred Mount Agung. It owns beautiful view from the top of temple area where we can see the wide nature panorama until to the ocean. Besakih is known as the Mother Temple of Bali and is simply the most important temple for the whole of the island. The complex comprises at least 86 temples which include the main Pura Penataran Agung (the Great Temple of State) and 18 others.

Besakih Temple is located in the North West of Bali, near Bali's highest and most important and most spectacular Volcano, Mount Agung. The area is on an altitude of about 1,000 metres and is located on the southwestern slopes of Mount Agung. It is surrounded by scenic rice paddies, lush forests and vegetation.

Penglipuran Village

PENGLIPURAN VILLAGE is one of the most placid, clean, and serene village throughout the whole nation, and one of the three cleanest in the whole world. The village is untouchable by the modernization. It has their own character. Supported by the fresh air by the height 700 meter above the sea level, give the comfortable for the villager and visitors.

The Village's layout itself is adapted from the Three Mandalas concept of Balinese Hinduism: Parhyangan (sacred area), Pawongan (settlement area), and Palemahan (graveyard, farming area, etc). There are traditional Balinese architectures with materials such as stones, wood, palm, and bamboo that are well preserved within the Parhyangan area.

Outside the village, which is a part of the Parhyangan area, there is a 45-hectare beautiful sacred bamboo forest to walk through and feast your eyes in. In the center, you’ll find four modest, yet beautiful temples where people pray and pay their respects.
