NARMADA

It's the water palaceof a Balinese King built in 1727 in Lombok by Anak Agung Gede Ngurah Karangasem.

In the middle of the palace there is a holy spring called, "AIR AWET MUDA". Some people believe it can keep you young.

There is also Kelasa Temple of Hindu religion where a ritual ceremony is held every year.

SUKARARA

Is the name of a village in central Lombok which is famous for its hand woven cloths called "SONGKET" Almost every family in this village does this job. The skill is passed down from generation to generation.

This traditional village has a bustling weaving industry which still employs the skill handed down from generation to generation.

These traditionally trained villagers produce an exquisite array of fine woven cloths, using cotton, silk or gold and silver to create their original designs for which Lombok is now famous

PENUNJAK

The traditional pottery in central Lombok made with simple tools and methods. The material used is clay.

This village is well-known because of its earthenware production in Central Lombok. In this village potters are using simple kilns to fire their pottery which often has cared designs of applied decoration such as lizards and frogs

RAMBITAN

This is a traditional Sasak village where we can see Sasak houses and women who still wear the traditional dresses.

The villages of Rambitan and Sade are situated about nineteen kilometers South of Praya, in Central Lombok. Despite catering to many visitors, these traditional thatched architectural designs of the dwellings with their soaring roofs. In their beautiful settings, surrounded by hush rice fields, these villages also offer visitors the opportunity of trying their hand at weaving gedogan using simple looms.

In the village of Rambitan, the forts mosque ever built in Lombok. Masjid Kuno is on the top of the hill. The mosque is made of bamboo, coconut wood and alang-alang.

KUTA LOMBOK

on the south coast, is behind Senggigi Beach in development, but still has a good variety of accommodation and restaurant.

Kuta, about 45 km(28miles) from Cakranegara or one and half hour's drive from Senggigi, has an expansively beautiful white sand beach and is a good base for exploring the stunningly beautiful southern coastline.
