Pura Taman Ayun

Pura taman ayun is a beautifully appointed temple, with its own surrounding moat, in the village of Mengwi, 18 km from Denpasar.

The history of this temple is closely associated with the beginning of the Raja Dom of Mengwi, in 1627. It was built in 1634, at the time at the rule of the first Raja of Mengwi. I Gusti Agung Ngurah Made Agung, who letter become known as Ida Cokorda Sakti Belambangan.

In the innermost sanctum, the shrines of 11, 9,7,5,3 roofs, it dedicated to various of the main temple on the island.

These shrines were built by the Raja to ensure that his Kingdom and people would be able to share in the prosperity and fertility of the nation, and also to enable all the people at Mengwi, to conduct the religious ceremonies at the temple, such as "meajar-ajar", Memendak Sang Pitara and also to request holy water to protect the rice fields from pestilence, etc.

Upacara piodalan (anniversary temple ceremony) fall every Selasa Kliwon, Wuku Wedangsia, in every 210 days/ every 6 month Balinese calendar

ALAS KEDATON

Alas Kedaton is the second well-known monkey forest after Sangeh. In this area, there are lots of fruit bats that have found refuge in the trees. The temple and forest are bouncing with tame monkeys.

BEDUGUL

Pura Ulun Danu is one of the most photographed temples in Bali and highly revered Kahyangan jagat temple (Directional temple) for north-west.

It was built in 1633 by Mengwi raja on a small promontory on the west of the lake ,and is dedicated to Dewi Danu(Goddess of the lake) as a source of water and hence fertility for the land and Balinese people.

The temple consists of several shrines, pura Teratai is the main compound with seven-roofed meru which is dedicated to Brahma god, god of creator ,and another temple on its side it dedicated to Wisnu god, god of presever with eleven-roofed meru and also dedicated to Dewi danu, Just beyond it with three-roofed shrine is dedicated to Siwa and place for housing of ancient lingga.

GIT GIT WATER FALLS

Git git water falls are10 km south of the city of Singaraja, the water falls are 700 m from the main road or parking area.

Following down steps of concrete path, line souvenir stalls along the path. Git git water fall has a 40 m single drop, Along the path leading to the object you will see paddy fields ,clove, coffee and other plantations.

LOVINA

Lovina stretches along 8km of black-sand beach, the largest resort in Bali. Beginning 6km west of Singaraja, the resort encompasses six villages: from east to west, Pemaron, Tukad Mungga, Anturan, Kalibukbuk, Kaliasem and Temukus.

Kalibukbuk is generally accepted as the centre of Lovina and has several roads, including one about 1500m-east known as Banyualit, leading down to the coast from the main through-route.

It’s in Kalibukbuk that you'll find most tourist facilities, the greatest concentration of accommodation and restaurants, and the little nightlife there is in resort.

BUDDHIST MONASTERY

The monastery(Brahma Vihara Arama) was built in 1970 by locals financing by Indonesian and also aids of Thailand government, and its consecrated in 1972 . It has been damaged by earthquake in 1976 . The new stupa has been repaired and is decorated with splendidly colorful confection.

The temple complex enjoys a wonderful hillside setting such as brilliant orange tile roof stand over an entrance gate guarded by fine two naga, with bell tower in the corner of middle courtyard, Every steps up to the temple has Buddha wisdom also around the walls.

A lower temple with a gold Buddha is from Thailand as a centerpiece, carved stone plaques showing scene from Buddha's life on all the main temple, and colorful Buddhist to the left of the top temple. Further up you'll see the founder of the temple next to it is several big stupas , in this part is the most interesting of the monastery, and magnet for pilgrimages.

BANJAR HOT SPRING

The hot spring comes from hillside that flows down to fill the pool .

The pool consists of three pool compartments; eight nagas spouting water from their mouths into the smaller, hotter upper pool, then descends through another five nagas into the larger pool. The water has a light sulfur smell, silky, slimy, and soft and this place is really an absolute Spa healer.

PUPUAN

Pupuan road climbs steeply up from the coast providing fine views back down to the sea.

The route runs through spice-growing country such as clove plantations, coffee plantations and many others.

A long the road we’ll drive through some of Bali’s most beautiful rice terraces.

TANAH LOT TEMPLE

This temple is located at southern coast of Bali Island, Kediri district, Tabanan regency.

The history of this temple is closely related to Dandhyang Nirartha’s pilgrimage to Bali Island, here he spent the night while teaching the Religion, Morality to the local people who came to him.

After he left, the local people built a temple on a small island in around 1489 M which was used as a place for worshiping the supreme Godhead to asked prosperity and welfare.

This temple/Kahyangan named “Pura pakendungan “which is now known as “Tanah Lot”.

This is one of the main tourist objects to see the best sunset on the Island
